“I realised that I wanted to be a sprinter probably the first day I ever tried sprinting at my local athletics track. Up until then, I’d been running longer distances. Although I did enjoy the competitive aspects, I wasn’t really into that as it was quite tiring. For sprinting, you just try to run as fast as possible when the gun goes – I absolutely loved it!” ⁠
