During his time in Puerto Rico, Matt found beauty, of course, but also a history, played out in the traditions of the island's inhabitants and the way they moved through the land. Tracing its past military use, the images focus on the presentness of people Puerto Rico and Vieques.

Spurred on by the native chorus of the coquí (a small native frog), Matt displays the flora and fauna with soft vibrancy. We see a life lived closer to nature and the connection between the land and the resilience of its people.
