A project grown out of a quiet, unhurried journey. The train ride from New York City to Montreal set the pace for everything that followed. Moving slowly through the city, wandering markets and neighbourhoods, the experience became a study of Montreal through light and contrast. Fleeting moments were shaped by a willingness to pause and look closely.

Autumn framed it all. The city’s colours, shifting light, and crisp air shaped both mood and rhythm. Meals shared, including unforgettable Haitian food, grounded the experience in warmth and connection. These photographs reflect a city encountered through walking, tasting, and attention.
