The first series of work that I ever created as a photographer was about the Mod scene in the UK. I can still vividly remember the first time I walked into the basement of a tiny club in Finsbury Park. Everyone dressed to the nines, sweat dripping down the walls and of course, the dance moves. I was hooked and went across the country photographing the scene. Lots of 11 pm-6 am shoots in bars and then arranging to meet people the next day to take their portraits.
