Music was Owen Harvey’s first love, and its influence is often present in his photographic work. He has focused on subjects heavily influenced by music, whether it be Hip-Hop in the lowriding scene, Rhythm and Blues in the Modernist scene, or Ska in the Skinhead scene.

For this series, Owen aimed to create images inspired by iconic musicians such as Miles Davis, Chet Baker, and Aretha Franklin, while keeping the imagery contemporary by featuring modern technology that enables musicians to create.

He collaborated with King and Abena, shooting in a beautiful studio in North London.
