Steve Madden wanted summer, and Owen delivered.

Returning to his hometown for Steve Madden's summer campaign, the results are anything but nostalgic. The British seaside gets a full refresh here; vibrant and youthful. It’s shot entirely on natural light across 28 looks. Beach huts and bold colours, yes, but nothing lingers in the past.

Drawing on five years of personal documentary work along the Southend-on-Sea coastline, Owen brought an intimacy and familiarity to the shoot that you can't manufacture.
