In the world of giant vegetables two titans reign: Peter Glazebrook and Ian Neale. Cultivating the world’s heaviest cauliflower (27.48kg) and longest parsnip (591.82 cm), Peter has a longstanding rivalry with Ian, a Welsh grower famous for his record breaking swede (54.01kg).

Both welcomed Jack into their polytunnels, feeding him fish finger sandwiches and cups of milky tea as he documented their secretive growing practices. Navigating heatwaves, showers and early frost, he followed their produce all the way to judgement day at the coveted Autumn Three Counties Show.
