The Oriental Desert Express is a private railway line chugging through the mountainous region between Oujda and Bouarfa in North East Morocco. You’ll know it from the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre, one of several big budget Hollywood movies to be shot in this country.

The route was once part of the Chemins de Fer de la Méditerranée au Niger, connecting coal mining regions. Morocco gained independence in 1956 but relics from the colonial era are everywhere.
