The thing about self care is that it’s kind of invisible. No-one knows if you’ve taken the time to luxuriate in the shower and now feel great. What they see is the outcome. The most relaxed, upbeat version of you. That subtle but all-important difference is what Dove Men wanted to get across in their global product imagery, bringing it in alignment with their advertising, which has always been about pushing boundaries in body positivity.

The skincare brand invited Sophie Harris-Taylor to shoot stills with an analogue look and a contemporary feel, where authenticity meets aspiration. In one set of shots, a model lathers up, taking time for himself. In another, shot from below to immerse the viewer in the scene, a pair of friends hang out, all smiles and high energy against searing blue skies.

The product itself is nowhere to be seen. But in another way, it's everywhere.
