No sooner was this ad out than it was setting the socials alight. Released ahead of World Mental Health Day, Peter Franklyn Banks’ ASICS campaign spotlights the negative impact sedentary office work can have on our mental health, inviting us to escape our desks. A message delivered with terrifying panache by the legend that is actor Brian Cox.

Building on the client’s script, Peter’s job was to build rapport with the formidable talent so he could deliver a standout performance that blends a dramatic dressing down with all essential humour. “F**k the fruit!” Cox snarls at the mottled, past-its-best banana laid on by the ‘free fruit team’.

Shooting stills around the commercial meant Peter could make sure the lighting set-ups were perfectly aligned, delivering the full creative vision for a project that we’ll be talking about for some time to come.
